Wellness

Resident wellness is a priority, with dedicated spaces and ongoing support designed to promote balance and resilience. On-site sleeping rooms provide a safe, quiet place for rest during long shifts, while relaxation and exercise rooms offer opportunities to recharge both mentally and physically. In our Code Lavender relaxation room, you will find it is designed as a calming space for stress relief and emotional support. We also offer a private mother’s lactation room to support residents balancing education with parenthood.

A resident-led wellness committee actively develops initiatives, events, and resources tailored to evolving needs, supported by wellness surveys conducted twice per year to gather feedback and guide improvements. Residents can easily access wellness resources, event information, and support services through the WRHE Resident Portal, ensuring help and guidance are always just a click away. Together with additional programming and institutional support, these efforts create an environment where residents can thrive both personally and professionally.

Healthy Residents = Healthy Communities

A systematic review of 18 controlled studies found that 13 out of 18 (≈72%) wellness interventions resulted in improvement in at least one well-being outcome (e.g., burnout, stress, or satisfaction).
